When life feels overwhelming, you’re stuck, or something needs to change
There are times in life when the ways we’ve always coped no longer seem to work.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally exhausted. Perhaps you’re experiencing burnout, navigating grief or loss, facing a difficult life transition, struggling in a relationship, or trying to find your way through a situation you never expected to be in.
Sometimes you may not even know exactly what’s wrong. You simply know that you don’t feel like yourself anymore.
A space to understand what’s happening and find a way forward
I’m Josie, a psychotherapist with over 30 years’ experience supporting people through difficult and challenging times, including more than two decades working in mental health.
My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to you. I believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood is an important part of therapy, and that our relationship together provides the foundation for meaningful change.
We can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences, while also paying attention to what happens in your body. I sometimes incorporate somatic and embodied approaches alongside talking therapy, depending on what feels helpful for you.
You don’t have to know exactly what you need before you begin. We can work that out together.
I can support you with
- Burnout, stress and feeling overwhelmed
- Grief and loss
- Difficult life transitions and changes
- Relationship difficulties
- Health conditions and their emotional impact
- Childlessness and changes to the life you had imagined
- Feeling stuck, disconnected or unsure about what comes next
What you can expect
Therapy is a space where you can slow down and begin to understand yourself with greater compassion and curiosity.
Together we can explore what is happening for you, make sense of patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop a deeper awareness of what you need.
My aim isn’t to tell you how to live your life. It is to support you to understand yourself more fully and make choices that feel right for you.
Online psychotherapy
I offer psychotherapy online via Zoom.
£70 | 50-minute session
I also offer a free 15-minute consultation, so we can briefly talk about what you’re looking for and whether working together feels like a good fit.
If you’re wondering whether therapy could help, you don’t need to have all the answers before getting in touch.
